Hindustan Unilever tops gainers’ list on the Sensex after a 15 per cent increase in NP.
Hindustan Unilever Ltd declared its Q4 results today & pleasantly surprised the markets.
Shares of the company were trading lower in the first half, soared over 6 per cent to be the top gainer on the Sensex after the company reported a 15 per cent increase in net profit for the fiscal fourth quarter at Rs. 787.2 crore, beating estimates.
Sales grew 10.4 per cent year on year to Rs. 6,367.14 crore in the quarter under review. Volumes growth, which was a major area of concern for the consumer goods major, came in at 6 per cent as against analyst estimates of 5.25-5.5 per cent.
At 3 pm Hindustan Unilever shares were trading at Rs 496, up 6.55 per cent on the NSE with volumes exceeding 94 lacs.
